1. Who we are
MathsHaqs ("we," "us," "our") provides weekly live online group maths tuition for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, delivered by Fahim Haque, trading as MathsHaqs, operating as a sole trader in England. 74 Orion House, Coventry Road, London E1 5RY. Fahim Haque holds an Enhanced DBS check.
2. The service
- One live 1-hour session per week, per key stage (KS3 or KS4), delivered via video call
- Access to a library of recorded past sessions while your subscription is active
- Membership is billed monthly at £8/month via recurring subscription
3. Eligibility and parental responsibility
This service is intended for students in Years 7–11. Where the student is under 18, the parent or guardian purchasing the subscription confirms they have authority to do so on the student's behalf and consents to these terms and the Privacy Policy on the student's behalf.
4. Payment and billing
- Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe
- By subscribing, you authorise recurring payments until you cancel
- Prices may change with 30 days' notice; continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance
5. Immediate access and cancellation rights
Because this is an instant-access digital/live service, at signup you will be asked to confirm that you want access to begin immediately and that you understand this means you give up the standard 14-day "cooling-off" cancellation right under the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013. If you do not confirm this, standard cooling-off rights apply to your first payment.
You may cancel your ongoing subscription at any time via emailing info@mathshaqs.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are given for the remainder of a paid period beyond what's set out above. 6. Recording of sessions
Live sessions are recorded for the benefit of subscribers (catch-up and revision access). By joining a live session, you consent to being recorded, including via audio/chat participation. Recordings are for the private use of active subscribers only and must not be redistributed, downloaded and shared, or published elsewhere.
7. Conduct
Students are expected to behave respectfully during live sessions. We reserve the right to remove any participant from a session or suspend/terminate a subscription for conduct that is abusive, disruptive, or that compromises the safety of other students, without refund for the remaining period, in serious cases.
8. Access and account sharing
Access credentials (login, session links, passwords) are for the use of the named subscribing family only and must not be shared with non-subscribers. We reserve the right to suspend access where sharing is identified.
9. Availability
We aim to deliver sessions as scheduled but may need to reschedule or cancel a session occasionally (illness, technical issues, school holidays). We will give as much notice as possible. No refund is due for a single missed or rescheduled session where reasonable alternative access (e.g. the recording) is provided.
10. Limitation of liability
We provide tuition support on a best-efforts basis. We do not guarantee specific grades or exam outcomes. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees paid in the 3 months preceding any claim.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
